The first time I got a digital camera, flowers were one of the first targets I chose for the relative simplicity of the composition and to enjoy the brightness of the colors. I let them fill the available space, closing up and standing as patient subjects. I still like looking for nice compositions, sometimes very classical, some other times through alternative points of view, or leading to the maximum the contrast beween well defined protagonist shapes and the undefined, blurred backgroud. Like studies of portraits, where color is playing a central role.
