A person told me once that places are a bit like silent promises that we fix in heart when we go there, and that it's up to us to maintain the promise to eventually come back, being conscious that everytime they will appear different to our eyes. I like to look to places as point along the routes, short or long, that can be covered. They can be starting or arriving points, sometimes in between, but they always mark a moment, sometimes in a stronger way than usual. Places are also great views or particular spaces, that I think sometimes are built or can fit in the mind. Not least, places are also the ones everyone brings within himself with the warming feeling of home, of a refuge or something familiar, points where everybody's life is twisted with because they don't witnessed just a rapid passage but a consistent part of our life.
