I created this section to build a virtual bridge across Europe, to group together the places that show their neverending signs and hurts from the Second World War, and that I had the luck to visit. I saw the heroic resistance and the most cruel concentration camps in Poland and East Europe, I walked across the battlefields in Normandy and walked through monumental places devoted to heroism and sacrifice. Following an invisible string, that binds winners and defeated, because wars have no other winners than horror and suffering.
